RJC Certification Opens New Horizons for Gold and Silver Trade in Egypt

Cairo, September 28 – Dahab Masr has received the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) certification No. 0000 6511 following an independent audit that confirmed its compliance with the 2019 Code of Practices. With this achievement, Dahab Masr becomes the first company specializing in gold and silver bullion trading and marketing in Egypt and North Africa to obtain this international certification.

Radwa Shaarawy, Head of Legal and Compliance at Dahab Masr, stated that the RJC certification “reflects the company’s commitment to the highest standards of transparency and governance, and confirms the strength of its risk management systems, including anti–money laundering, human rights protection, and environmental compliance. This raises the attractiveness of the Egyptian market to investors and builds greater trust among customers in our services.”

She added that the independent audit covered a review of core policies including supply chain integrity, anti-corruption and anti-bribery, data protection and privacy, traceability and internal auditing, as well as daily implementation and monitoring mechanisms. This confirmed that compliance at Dahab Masr is an integral part of its corporate culture and long-term strategy.

Supporting Local and Regional Markets

The impact of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) certification is expected to extend to both the local and regional markets. Dahab Masr is working to transfer its expertise to companies engaged in the trade and manufacturing of precious metals inside and outside Egypt, helping them adopt international standards and policies in areas such as supply chain integrity, transparency, data protection, and anti-corruption. This direction is anticipated to strengthen trust among both consumers and investors, raising the efficiency of the sector and enhancing its global competitiveness.

In addition, it opens the door to broader collaboration opportunities with financial institutions and international partners concerned with compliance and global standards. The certification is viewed as the beginning of a new phase aimed at consolidating Dahab Masr’s position as a regional platform for gold and silver trading and storage, serving the local market while reinforcing Egypt’s place on the global map.

This milestone reaffirms Dahab Masr’s position as the first central gold marketplace in Egypt and the Middle East since its establishment at the end of 2021 as a company specializing in the trade and marketing of gold and silver bullion. Since its inception, the company has relied on fintech to provide safe and flexible digital investment solutions while maintaining full adherence to both local and international compliance standards.

Through its digital platform, Dahab Masr offers individuals services such as live gold price tracking, direct sales, and secure storage, while also providing integrated solutions for companies and institutions that cover trade, marketing, and financial services. The company’s approach focuses on reinforcing gold’s status as a trusted investment asset, embedding technological innovation in its activities to meet the needs of both local and regional markets through digital retail, asset tokenization, and building a fully integrated ecosystem that brings together various services under one umbrella.
